How F**Ked am I?

I went threw 2 big pudles back to back car bogged so I turned it off. Called aaa as I figured I had sucked up some water. Got home took off the uicp, there was some water drops. Took off the licp to find about 1l of water, maybe more. Took off the ic to find about .5l of water. Then I took out the spark plugs, obviously theres water in the cylinders. I go to crank the car to get the water out, and cranks a half turn then stops. I figured the battery died because I was lissing to music while I was waiting for aaa. So threw the battery charger on it, tryed to turn it over and nothing. I then tryed to turn the motor over by hand and it wont budge. So Im thinking the puddle made the belt slip a few teeth. But how bad is it that water is goona be in the block for maybe a 14-16hours as its too late to work on it now.

most likely you bent couple of rods, that's why the engine won't turn over.

At least you don't have a hole in the block or do you?

Drop your pan and find out. If its good throw in a piston and rod set and call it a day?

I just dropped the motor in less than a month ago an it maybe has 1k at most, wiseco pistons manley rods, arp head and main studs, acl bearing, rotating assembly balanced, balance shafts deleted. Only thing I didnt do was have oil squirters installed, guess Ill do them sense I have to pull the block tomarro. Maybe I can find a cheap set of I beams and upgrade from the h beams.

Dont think theres a hole in the block.

This sucks man I just dropped the motor in my civic to do a swap.

Umm what?

If you ment do I think it bent because its a h rod, then no. My dad said when a engine water locks like that it will bend the rod no matter what. Or if the crank is weaker than the rods it will bend.

Ya, right now though I dont have money unless I find a crazy deal for I beams. Or If I sell the spare 4g64 block, crank, an girdle I got.

Just dropped 800 on a gsr motor and tranny for my civic as the stock motor went with 170k on it. Now I dont have **** to drive, besides track cars getting 4-5mpg.

rod number 4 snapped. Im going to bed now been up all night, i have 30+ pics from the tear down. Motors still in the car, dropped the oil pan an took the head off. Block seems good as far as I can tell, crank looks good, piston looks good. Gonna need a wrist pin, rod. Bearings look fine. I was gonna have to drop the tranny next weekend anyways to do a clutch so I guess if it had to happen its not the worst possible time.
