Gary,

I think the only Evo I am currently aware of is the one that Magnus did the engine for. It is not a very common item for most Evo owners. We have toyed with using one on our Evo Drag Car this engine, but havent decided really.

Sierra Sierra I believe is using one. Considering the problems some have had with cornering causing engine failures from oil starvation, I'm surprised more haven't gone to dry sumps.

Brent Rau in his drag Eclipse I think ran on for a while, but I think he went back to a stock pump?

Drag racing presents different oiling pressure problems, with different solutions.

A dry sump is the best overall solution for g-forces in many directions, because the oil reservoir holds several gallons of oil, and it can never run dry or cavitate, so the pressurized oil supply is always available to the parts needing it.

Another ulternative is Accusump (www.accusump.com), high cornering G DSMs have been using them since the early 90's!

They are MUCH cheaper than the drysump system and do the job!

I am also trying to find a decent location for the oil tank and keep the lines as short as possible.

Ya, that works great... unless you have two hard right hand turns back to back running hoosiers and the accusump can't re-pressurize fast enough....

Happened to SmackEvo here in norcal. Watched him pit quick style after the last 2 turns at Thunderhill in the CW configurations... not good.

Both of those dry sumps look great! Sucks to hear the Moroso dry sump pan is having issues... I have seen the same for the wet sump pan they produced for AMS

Man these are pricey, but I guess $3 - 5K is what it takes...ughhhh yet something else....this car is getting into 911 territory (price wise).

APT - Don't you need a special tank to separate the oil and air ? I did not see that or filtration on your web page.
