Downpipe install questions

I installed my Cobb downpipe last night. Install seemed to go ok, but I have a couple of questions.

1. I didn't remove the donut gasket on the 02. Is this a problem?

2. I re-used the original spring bolts on the upper part that connects to the 02 housing. The cobb came with a hardware kit, that had 2 larger bolts with nuts(too big for the 02 housing, several of these large metal spacers, 4 slightly smaller bolts, and 5 washers. I put the washers under the lower braces to make sure they don't rub, as it was pretty close but not touching without them. So all together I basically didn't use any of the hardware provided. Main question is about the spring bolts though.

3. I didn't have time to do a full wideband install, so I installed the sensor and routed the cabling up to the passenger side compartment, didn't seal off the hole where it comes up yet and have the carpet pulled back. I'm assuming it's ok for the sensor to be installed but not hooked up yet? I will be finishing the install this weekend.

4. I hear a noise that sounds a little like metal on metal scratching. I think it is just my turbo spooling because if I'm driving around off gas or with the clutch in, it will go away. Is this normal, or possibly just because I have a small hole allowing extra sound into my cabin?

i have the same problem i feel like the dp is touching the crossmember while driving and turning, i am going to put spacers and see if it goes away. although it does seem to clear it i think that while driving it moves a little and rubs.

The spacers are meant to go between the lower sub frame and the cross beams. This allows for a good 1/2" of clearance between the beams and the downpipe.

You also use the new bolts (and washers) to hold the cross beams on because they are longer - which allows the use of the spacers.

The gold bolts - I believe are supposed to be used to attach the downpipe to the cat.

I just drilled a hole in that rubber grommet and cut a slit so the wb wire would fit thru and u can just push it back in the hole to seal it up.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do, just haven't had time yet.

Also I guess I will add the spacers to add additional clearance though I still don't think it's an issue.

Thanks for all the answers.

No thoughts on the noise, anybody?
