Cracked megan exhaust manifold

I just bought a megan exhaust manifold off of craigslist. I did a quick inspection to see if there were any cracks and I didn't see any. When I got home I looked at the inside of the runners and to my disappointment I saw a little crack. I sanded it down alittle bit with my dremel. On the outside its welded up pretty good. I'm just wondering what you guys think about it, if its good to go or not. Thanks for the input.

I don't want to come off as rude, but what did you expect? Buy a quality part. That may do the trick for now, but it's just going to crack again.

Hate to say it, but I agree. It will just keep on cracking over time. Just spend some good money and do it right the first time. A good manifold with quality material and welds will not do that, and they have lifetime warranties too...

Its more likely to crack somewhere else than the same spot. If anything, the welds are probably now the strongest spot, even if they are booger welds lol.

Those do not like the original welds.

Looks like someone tried to patch it and didn't do so very well.

Those def do NOT look like the original welds.

The pics. are of the repair. It was obviously Mig welded, should have been Tig welded. Save some money and buy a better quality unit. You got what you payed for. It should last for a while.

Na I'm not on a Ship. Although I work for a contractor outside the yard. Usually only take the car out on weekends. Thats my car in the pic...I think I'm the only IX in the area with AMS fmic, wheels, coils, etc. If you see me around flag me down or something. Usually putting around Silverdale and going out on drives when its nice.

Btw on the manifold be careful on the Megans. They are really notorious for cracking and most loose spool and don't gain any HP. Really best option is the ported stocker until you get up to the better manifolds like Shearer or Full Race...even then they add very little HP.
