CV Boot

I just did the CV boot replacement on the inner CV joint for the passengers side front. I just got the kit from the area Mitsu dealer. The old boot split right at teh joint.

I noticed the new boot felt heavier and seems thicker than the old one. Both were made by NTN.

Has anyone else noticed this? When I searched CV boot, it seems like a lot of folks have issues with the same one as me. Wonder if Mitsu updated this part?

It is usually the outer boots that go first due to more flexing. Maybe Mitsu was trying to save weight - every little bit helps, and found out it was a bad decision.
