Good luck with the build.
+ 1, put a map switch in for 93 pump just in case your unable to get to the station that is only a 1.5 mile from your house.

Yes sir, that is precisely what I will be doing. The one exception is the gauge layout. I am a fan of maintaing stock appearance. Therefore, I will be incorporating the meth injection status leds into the stock tachometer gauge face with a custom face layout and everything. It should be a bad @ss setup. That will have to wait until after the engine build is complete.

Seems like everybody is doing fpblack builds. I guess the little stock appearing turbos saves a lot of money to a 35r kit

I was originally going to do a LR build, but MAP has their drag car revving to 9k rpm all day long. That's good enough for me. I'm going to be setting my limiter around 8300-8500 rpm depending on where the black falls.

It's important for me because when I pop my hood, I want it to look completely stock. I will be utilizing the stock heat shields as well. I want the build to maintain a very stock feel.

Yea the black wont need to rev too high, thats where I figure my rev limiter will be around too but I did the long rod version. Im putting the shield on as well just so everything looks relatively unassuming. I hated how the shield looked, so I took a drill and an abrasive pad and stripped all the rust and crappy finish off, washed it, and then hit it with some BBQ Paint, and it looks **** now I even painted the screws and washers that hold it onto the manifold because they looked like crap too.

Good luck on your build Acree. I would honestly look into the New GSC cams. They are amazing and the M2s are nothing special. std S2s gain 25hp over them and these custom GSC cams gain 30-40 over the std S2s. Here is my thread on the new cams if you have not seen it yet. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...stom-cams.html

Good luck and if you have any questions let me know, btw 10.5:1 Static is a bit high for pump 93 however it really depends on your dynamic compression and 10.5:1 is doable if you have large cams and a thicker PE head gasket.

Trust me, I've been following the thread. I PM'd Aaron the same day the thread was posted. I'd like to get these cams in this build. I just need ER to come out with a definite "Yes we have them. Pay us."

save 2k -3k and produce extremely close to the same power levels as a 35r turbo. i still dont see the point in going higher then the fp black unless your shooting for 750+ then understandable.

Second that, FP Black is basically the last turbo 95+% of this community could ever need.

Now let's just hope they can meet the "2 week" return timeline they claim.
