the full race manifold is definitely a quality manifold but imo the cost outweight the gains like I said unless you're making big power like 500+, then it's most definitley worth investing in.

+29whp on a stock turbo with 272 cams. Thats impressive no matter how you look at it. The original 345whp is nothing significant, definitely doesnt take much. If the OP is running a Red he will see even better power increases with a good tubular.

For what most will pay for good porting/coating, the tubular manifolds are not a bad buy.
isn't that a 29whp gain from manifold AND cams?
not from a stock engine with cams on it already

Thats possible also, I should call and ask. But, I have seen good gains from just the manifold.

I do agree that for lower HP builds, sticking with the stock (ported or not) isnt a bad idea.

BS. The Megan manifold, or the OBX will NOT make as much power as a ported stocker. If that were the case, all of the record lists would be using them, and NO ONE is.

So basically an FP Red or Black. He has a red so then you are agreeing that getting a tubular manifold is worth it. LOL.

Just making sure.

They don't last long enough to make the list lol.

Anyone who's ever pushed their turbos to the limit for 3-5 minutes straight will understand the value a quality thick walled manifold.

When looking at a cheap manifold beware of slag inside. Cheap manifolds have a tendency to have a bit of drop through do the lack of QC. The slag will also break off and take out the turbo

I cant believe this conversation is actually taking place.. Seriously, a cheap mani is exactly that cheap. Your gains will not mean diack when it only lasts for a couple months (being optomistic), or worse a new turbo. If you are looking at the <400 range then go with a stocker ported. If you want to get every bit out of that stock appearing turbo, then get a QUALITY tubular. I hear ETS makes some pretty nice stock turbo tubular mani's... I like em a little bit too..

OBX and Megan wouldnt be on my list of good tubular manifolds. My comments were simply comparing good tubulars and a ported stock manifold.

Porting too much can lead to negative effects.

My car came with a cheap Megan manifold. That **** cracked at a weld that looked like it had been welded a few times over. Went with a regular stocker. Had no issues. Have a Mona Lisa now so once I sort out my motor options that will be used.
