help with hks carbon ti catback

I bought this exhaust used a couple days ago, and when i went to put it on today it seems like the muffler is hanging very low to me. i dont have any pictures of it but the tip is abot three and a half inhces from the cut out in the bumper where the old exhaust used to go. The problem is even if i push up on the muffler it doesnt want to go any higher. Is this how the exhaust is supposed to be or not. any suggestions?

Did you use the strap or hanger thats right back there behind the bumper? The HKS Carbon Ti i've seen tuck very nice and do not hang that low. You bought the whole cat-back or just like a muffler back and had it welded in. Pics might be very helpful!

Ok so i just went into my garage and took two pictures. The first is just to show you how low the muffler sits. the second is the one flange that wouldnt reach the holes for the hanger. I do have to hanger behind the bumper and the one in the wheel well on though. i dont know if everything is normal and i'm just not used to an aftermarket exhaust. also the exhaust moves side to side an inch or two but not up and down at all.

Never mind i dont know how to get pictures on here lol. If you let me know how i can post them up, but yea until then thats all i can tell you.

based on that second picture, that hanger has to be screwed into those 2 holes on the car. That is why its hanging so low. When you bought the exhaust, I hope the seller gave you the 2 separate brackets you need to install this exhaust. The only stupid thing about hks exhausts are they didn't design their exhausts to work with the factory hangers, they had to feel special and use their own hangers.

+2

Search around, I made some pictures of the brackets for another member on here. He ended up making his own.

i know this isint the right place to post this but i dont have enough to post in the for sale/ wanted section. If anyone has the two special mounts for this exhaust or can make them i would be willing to but them from you. And thanks for the help everyone on finding out why my exhaust was hanging so low.
