Just bought my new evo and need some help
It's an AEM intake. pipe and filter. Not sure if that helps, but it's not an injen. Not sure this shop has worked on more than a few evo's but at my location I am a bit limited on tuners. I had to drive out to New Orleans because nobody around Baton Rouge would touch my evo.
The drive is worth it one I have my full final setup, Im driving to either AWD in fl or MAP in MN, I in MA. But it will be worth it.
Thats clearly not any aftermarket turbo, I could have a upgraded comp wheel but I wouldnt hope for anything over 300 on a md

At this point, I would follow the lead of the elder members here and never go back to that same shop again as I am sure they (The more senior members here) would agree.
Stevie Wonder could see that isn't a black.
well , looks you guys were right. The stamping on the compressor reads as follows:
49378-01560
TD05HR-16g6-10.5T
060113075
These are some pics I took tonight after taking the intake off. A quick search and it looks like a stock turbo
The only thing I find confusing, and I guess I wouldnt know unless I drove another stock evo or a big turbo evo, is why it spools so early and is it normal for the stock turbo to be so damn loud? I'm currently running 24psi on stock injectors and it starts to spool right at 2800-3200. Is that normal?

I would find another shop. Mellon, AMS,Bushur are worth the drive from your area. Get rid of that plastic DV and get a IX DV.
I know this thread has kind of gone off the deepend as far as topic is concerned. But anyone know of an EVO tuner within 300-400 miles of Baton Rouge? And this also may sound funny, but what does the DV stand for? I'm new to the forced induction world
Mellon Tuning.

DV= Diverter Valve aka recirculated bov.
thats what i figured lol just wasnt going to throw myself out there and look stupid
I have an HKS ssqv that I plan to install this weekend if I can get my hands on something to compress that damn c-clip. I have the recirculation kit for it as well. and thanks for the tip, Ill have to check them out.
