Just bought my new evo and need some help

Guy I bought it from said it has a 20g 10.5 dual puck turbo upgrade. My question is how in the hell do I confirm this? Do I need to take the Heat shield off the manifold and look for some kind of stamping??

awesome. good reviews on that turbo if it really is what he says it is? I'm bringing it to a shop out of new orleans next week to get a full tune and he says with some bigger injectors he might be able to get close to 500awhp out of it. I'm still skeptical lol

You should be. You probably won't even hit 400hp. It might not even be a 20g. Did he say who he got the turbo through?

Ok so mixed reviews so far lol. I'm getting 850 injectors and a reflash tomorrow morning. Won't get dyno time until next week. With 850 injectors, aem shortram, and said turbo, what do you guys think is a realistic number to aim for. Was thinking possibly mild cams also.

Who knows what 20g you have, or even if it's a 20g. There are many different ones out there. I would hold off and do cams and a tune at the same time.

Well it needs a tune regardless. Guy who owned it put the turbo and shortram in and hasn't tuned since and it's not running like it should. I'll be taking the manifold off tonight and I'll try to post some pics for some input. Thanks guys

Ok, took some pics from what I could. Could not get the lower heat shield off due to the 104 degree heat in south louisiana inside a garage and the car just being ran 14 miles and the fact that I couldnt get to the bolt on the underside of the shield. I did manage to get a few pics though ( ****ty iphone quality)
Not sure if that will help yall but thats what i got tonight.

Impossible to tell what turbo that is from your pics. Take off this intake and take a pic of the compressor wheel. That might help us identify it.

Ok, went to get tuned this morning. They did confirm it's for sure NOT stock. They first thought I was running an fp black due to its size. I'm going to take the intake off for yall tonight and post pics again as soon as possible. Thanks for the help so far. He did say I need to get way bigger injectors for the turbo..right now im running stock and its just not cutting it.

whoever is tuning ur car might not know what there doing, its clearly in no way a black. It's a stock compressor housing. Blacks have a 84mm anti surge port. Ur running a injen intake as I can see in the pics. Which would not fit a black. Makes me a bit nervous. For you
