What Recirculating BOV???

Man I cant stand this annoying partial throttle flutter/surging. This thing sounds like a friggin a retarded turkey on crystal meth! Ever since I upgraded with cams, fmic, and uicp this has occurred. I had the stock ix diverter valve and it was great before all the mods but after words I had to try something else. I now have the Synapsis but honestly its not doing the trick on my setup regardless of any adjustments made. I know the APS is the way to go but since there not selling anymore to the U.S. there scarce. Whats another solution???

Where are you tapping for boost source? I believe I once read that if your source is off the turbo outlet for your MBC you will not get any flutter.

Bingo, I had this problem when I tapped into the bov line for my boost controller. Moved where the vacuum source was and the problem is gone, let us know good luck.

Yeah, You can either T into the boost line coming from the turbo nipple outlet to your boost controller, or for even better performance out of the synapse, tap into the uicp right next to the hose going to the bov. You need to make sure that its getting a boost source that is closest to the throttle body because you want it to act as quickly as possible to equalize the pressure differential. In other words, you want it to release pressure as soon as you let off the throttle. You might get some flutter if you T anywhere else. I'm assuming you have the synapse with port C ?

Flutter may be a boost or vacuum leak too, do a test to check it.

And yes, Tial QR ftw. Buy one and be done with bov buying.

show us a picture of how you have set it up.
i have a 3 port synapse BOV and it works perfectly.
A+B --> Intake manifold
C --> turbo compressor outlet (between turbo and intercooler).

I agree with all of this. Ever since I purchased my Tial QR I have never had an issue with fluttering, it is the last BOV you will ever need. I am pushing up to 38psi of boost at peak and it is still holding like a champ.

I am running 25psi. I dont even remember how I set up my AEM Tru boost. I have an MR so I used the stock line going to the gauge that was existing for the gauge, and I believe I used the lines coming of the wastegate side for the solenoid. My synapsis is the latest one out designed with the ports specifically set up for the evo. I believe the is only a&b.

Where are you taking the boost/vacuum source pressure for the back of the synapse BOV? from the intake manifold?
Are you using a Tee?

LOL maybe I didnt explain myself right. The same vacuum line for the stock diverter valve is what I used for the new one. I believe thats is from the intake manifold. I will check now.......
