Dont go to a muffler shop. They will ruin a great exhaust. Go to a local car shop that knows how to tig weld. Don't let anyone MIG weld that exhaust.

have a local muffler shop hack off the flange or muffler and mark how much to shorten it... cut it and re-weld pretty simple man

I had the same problem. If it's the slipfit design, like mine, then I had about 2 inches cut off the front of the catback pipe and put it back on. The rear hanger will be mounted the same way, but the other hanger can be bolted on the other side of the mount to make up for the difference that was cut off.
