Evo X bov on Evo 8?

Hey. I just recently purchased a Evo X bov hearing that the 03-05 Evo 8 bov's were a bit faulty, I was suggested it was best to upgrade to an Evo 9 Bov. Having a hard time finding a local person with an Evo 9 Bov for sale. I was told an Evo X bov would be exactly the same as the Evo 9. After receiving the evo X bov I noticed the nipple on the evo x bov points more towards the fan and in order for me to put on the new bov. I would have to purchase a longer vacuum hose. I was just wondering if the new longer vacuum hose would affect it as I would have to bend it in a certain way to fit. And if it would perform the same as an Evo 9 bov.

Thanks!

Why don't you get a 9 bov from here? They are very cheap and will work fine lol trade them in or something. Good thing you got rid of that pos plastic 8 bov which leaks a lot

Yes you can use a longer VAC line. There's a few guys running the X DV on the VIII's and IX's

Ahhitsken was actually me, he was a friend helping me post the question. I installed the new longer vac line and the evo x bov. Just thinking things were going to start up good. I took it around the block a few times and notice that boost only went up to around 10psi and then significantly dropped after 5k rpm. Any possible solutions?? with the stock bov I was boosting around 19-19.5. any suggestions or tips on how to solve the problem would be great.

thanks
