mechanic clutch ? quartermasters twin

my mechanic claims my twin disk is for a 5 spd when i bought it for my 6 spd mr.
also called quartermasters corp. to ask them.
im not sure as to if this is true i thought the clutch would be a clutch... and he also mentioned something to me about the throwout bearing having anything to do with this?

well short point is.. does the quartermasters twin disk and flywheel work for both the 5 spd and 6 spd?

the guys and quartermasters said this clutch would only last me about 1000 miles

You will need the 6sp slave/throwout bearing.

Unless anything has changed with QM TOBs. The TOB only work with the 5 speeds. I don't think they make one for the 6 speeds.

But regardless, 5 speed and 6 speed require different TOB's
