Quick question - will the ACT HDSS combo fit properly on the 6-speed trans in my MR?

Clutch Kit: MB7-HDSS
Flywheel: 600205

HDSS is great till you want to shift passed 7500 rpm. Then you'll get aggravated. When mine comes out I'm using it for target practice

take your chanses.
I have zero lockout issues all the way to the stock rev limiter. I usually shift at redline, or a little after, but i just wanted to test it out. i've never had any issues. the last clutch i had, an EXEDY stage 1, i had lockout in every gear at anything over 6500rpm. talk about a pain in the ***. I don't think it's a brand thing. i think it's an installation problem, and probably has more to do with the installation, and the flywheel than the clutch.

the ACT lockout thing seems to be like the "stock clutch problem"...blown way out of proportion. that said, i don't know what it does above stock rev limiter. up to 7200-7300 rpm though, i've never had any issues.

I just have heard too much bad things about act.
Thanks for the link sir! The Comp Clutches are awesome for people with mild upgrades, they aren't however for anyone making much more than 350ft/lbs.

In regards to ACT that combo is tried and true, but a few people have experienced lockout issues with the full face disc. Someone else had asked if it will work on the Evo IX, and the answer is yes. The only clutch that I know of that differentiates based on 5 speed or 6 speed is Fidanza. I would be happy to help with whichever clutch you guys need, our pricing will not be beat

What ever you decide on a clutch let us know. If you need some info on different clutches feel free to give us a call any time. We have invested a lot of time into testing different setups and know what works. plain and simple, Some of the products listed in this very thread would never even find their way into my lawn mower...

I previously had a stock pp with ACT unsprung 6 puck ceramic disc, I change it fot Exedy Stage 1 Heavy Duty and I really love it, way more easy to drive on street

My drivetrain guy told me that with the six-speed, the best thing to do is go with another stock unit. I have about 340AWHP. He says the heavy duty clutches have too harsh an engagement and will kill your tranny quicker. I had 40k on my stock and went with another stock clutch. I don't do any launches though. Can't beat the price either.

That's cause your mechanic is a schemer and wants you to do that so he can keep changing them more often...Act 6 puck if you wanna save money if not the exedy is hands down the best clutch no issues what so ever as long as you have the fork!!

I just installed an ACT street disc with XDuty pressure plate and streetlite flywheel on my IX MR . And am experiencing very bad lockout issues at and above 7K.

Based on my experience I'd say keep looking.
