Leak from EGR Block Off Plate

Leak from EGR Block Off Plate

I've got some sealant so I can fix this, I just need to know where to apply? Do I just apply small amount around the seams of the block off plate when it is attached or do I take it off the apply some around the edge of the port and re-apply the block off plate?

It's got the OEM gasket..forgot to mention, still good condition.

i had a small leak when i did mine too, i took it off put sealent around the edge of the whole plate, along with the threads of the bolts. worked perfect

yea i took it off and put some on the edges. I think the gasket wasn't helping either, so it is just the plate on the port. it will be done curing today so I can boost leak today hopefully.
