Evo gear question?

I have a 03 Evo and about 440 miles ago i had a clutchmaster stage 1 clutch put in and just recently here when you come to a stop and put it back in first gear to take off its lugging the engine, even though i put gear shifter in first its moving like its in a higher gear, the rpms move slow through 1 and 2 and then finally in third its back to normal. My cuz said it may because of the high friction clutch, any thoughts? Thanks

Meaning like the car bogs down trying to take off?? Aftermarket clutches may require a bit more rpm to get going Have you tried that??

You can try adjusting the clutch pedal to see if it makes any difference. If not I'd say it's likely an installation or kit issue.

Has it done this since the day it was installed or did it just start happening now??

It just started happening recently. Sometimes when u take off in first it moves normal like it should and rpms move up quick like its in first gear other times its the opposite it acts like its still in higher gear.
