Hydraulic throw out bearing for exedy twin/triple

Hydraulic throw out bearing for exedy twin/triple
Is there a way to do this conversion yourself without the kit?

AMS charges 1300 for a few parts..

* Pressure plate & cover
* Hydraulic throw out bearing
* Stainless steel hydraulic lines
* Starter plate

would it be possible to just throw a hydraulic throw out bearing in there and make it work with the pressure plate that comes with the exedy?

do you want to elaborate more? how did that happen from push style?

The push style clutches have a very harsh engagement. You cant really slip the clutch so when they grab they have a tendancy to shock the driveline, that leads to broken parts. The only reason I switched to the push style when I did it was I popped the clip of the standard style and it was a PITA. I then switched to the push, broke 2nd gear once and then exploded 4th gear. I also blew 3 RS diffs into complete pieces. I then switched to a Tilton Carbon/Carbon which is what the pust style is based off of but the difference is the clutch can be slipped due to the carbon discs. I have now switched back to a standard Triple Cera and am SOO glad that I did. I forgot how nice it is to drive the car and enjoy it again. The Push style clutches are miserable to drive on the street.

what info do you need? in all honesty its not worth it on the Exedy clutches, they become extremely harsh on launching and power shifting, very prone to breaking parts and miserable to drive on the street.

Ive had a standard exedy triple (currently in the car), the push conversion triple and the Tilton Carbon/Carbon ($5k clutch) and Ill take the standard triple over all of them. Fun to drive, comfortable to drive and not nearly as expensive. The standard with STM Fork stop is hard to beat.

I've used the exedy twin push style and have had no issue. I've done two track events and the clutch has performed flawlessly. I would offer a different opinion and say that the driveability of this clutch on the street is great.

I just did the something, and my clutch pedal has the same feeling and pressure than was twin clutch, it's drive almost like a stock clutch, but after 250miles start feeling some sleep noise right before you let the hole clutch pedal off, seem like the pressure plate it's not strong enough for the triple disc, i couldn’t do any lunch yet because i didn't pass the 500miles exedy recommend for break-in period, I’m scare to have some sleep problem.

Looking at your sig and HP numbers, I can only assume you are a drag racer. What you are experiencing at that HP level (700+) doing launches has almost nothing to do with someone possibly looking for a good road racing clutch or some other application.

Did you put in longer bolts for the fork stop or just use the stock ones with less threading?
