I was wondering who is running a AMS F1 intake mani?

Can you list your current build / mods & fuel used.

What intake manifold did you change from?

I'm going to be running one my car is still a ways out from being done though.

Heres what my build consists of:

Long Rod 10:1 2.0 with Turbo tuff rods, coated JE pistons and balance shaft eliminators
Ported head with GSC S3 cams
Front Facing HTA3794
FIC 2150's w/Blaqops progressive controller, AN lines, FIC rail, Adjustable regulator, E85
Sparktech CDI
AMS F1 with 75mm TB
5" FMIC w/3" pipes and TiAL BOV
stock ECU on SD

The engine is going together next week, then the turbo kit is being fabbed up. May not be the exact info you were looking for but I am going to be running the F1, waiting on the production run for it right now.

I hope it turns out good I haven't seen a lot of info here about the F1 but I thought I'd try to be a little different and give it a go.

The best part of the build is that my wife was the one who pushed to keep doing stuff untill it ended up in its current state I was just going to replace the blown stock turbo with a FP red. Then she says "why don't we replace the rods and pistons so we don't have to worry about them later" stuff kind of snowballed I guess!

I have one on my car. Went from stock 2.0L to a built 2.3L with all the fixins, so no real ability to give a before & after on the F1 itself.

Definately a solid part, I've jumped, crashed, and even had my car catch fire, and the manifold is still in great shape and hasn't complained. My codriver on the otherhand...LOL

How was the fit with mivec? I've read some stuff about other intakes needing the flanges cut for clearance. Any mods or was it pretty much a straight bolt on?

I had it installed at AMS when they put in my new motor. No fitment issues that I'm aware of.

Ok thanks do you have any engine bay shots of it? I already planned on having to make a UICP since the TB placement is different from stock.

There's one down near the bottom of the page.

Lots of pics in this thread too:
