can i drive the car untuned ?

im in the process of completing my fpred build on my 06 evo9RS

I have installed already the following parts

3inch TBE
Hallman MBC
255lph fuel pump
ACT HDSS w/ ProLite Steel Flywheel
ETS Upper and Lower Intercooler Piping
ETS 3.5" FMIC
Buschur Ported Exhaust Manifold
Invidia 02 Housing
FP Red 84mm Turbo
FP Intake
Buschur Intake Cone

The following parts i am going to have installed at my mechanic and have the car tuned (expecting 450whp)

60k maintnence kit
Kelford 272 Cams
Supertech Valvetrain Kit
Tial Alpha Q Recirculating BOV
Precision 880cc injectors
ARP Headstuds

i am bringing my car to get other parts installed and have my car tuned however the main question i had was can i drive the car untuned without hitting boost just to get to the shop the get the build completed without harming the car ??

and another thing also when finishing the turbo install before starting the car i need to prime the car so the coolant and oil reaches all the lines correct ??

and i also bought a replacement clutch disc for my act hdss kit it only cost me 125 BUX !! and i am pretty confident that my act hdss will hold up 450whp on street driving ... if anyone has any suggestions or tips im open to it just want the build to go smooth !

thanks !

yup. just dont boost it. no power. dont floor it. like everyone else has said.
dont drive it unless you absolutely have to. swap over the injectors once it's at the garage/workshop, and tune away

that being said, you sadly wont be able to get before and after dyno sheets!

No need to get it street tuned just to drive it over to your mechanic's shop. The stock DV(BOV) will also be fine. Keep engine speed between 2000-3200 RPM and stay out of the boost. You will be fine.

also with my manual boost controller when i install it to my new turbo setup will i have to set it up ?? or no ?? bc neways im not gunna hit boost driving it to my tuner

Can you monitor A/F? I would at least take a look at that if you have to drive 100+ miles to the shop. If your running pig rich or waayyy lean I would want to know and just tune it so that it was within an acceptable range. You don't need to worry about timing, just touch up the idle and cruising load cells to be within 11-14.7, just my .02 cents. Or I am sure that someone else has similar mods, just get them to send you their map, to get you to the dyno. Nice build BTW

The Act should be ok, if it doesn't last, do the Exedy Twin

im buying the replacement act disc for 125bux and a oem throwout bearing and a stainless steel clutch line as well because i dont want to go over 450whp im probably going to get an IveyTune at like 430whp and i know torque wont exceed 420 so the act hdss shud hold no prob esp if ima change the clutch disc and throwout bearing !!

and im just worried about the boost controller i have a aem AFR gauge and i can monitor it and know when i run lean i just dont want to hurt the engine or the turbo setup since its gunna be brand new setup

anyone have advice on the priming of the turbo ??

thanks !!
