Help, Hallman MBC issues

so i recently purchased a Hallman MBC as im in the process of getting tuned. So i installed it. It was pretty straight forward.

Went from the wastegate to one part of the MBC.
then went from the turbo elbow to the other part of the MBC.
I capped off the intake nipple
Capped off the 2 nipples off the stock Boost Solenoid and left the harness in.
I Used all new lines. I spun the boost controller all the way to the left so ican be at stock boost levels.

i went for a run and i topped out at 10-11 pounds in 3rd gear. i did a search and realized i forgot the restrictor pill. from my understanding it went on the wastegate side (output). i inserted the pill and same thing. i inserted the pill on the boost source side (input) and now im at 13 pounds. stock is 1.2 bar (17 pounds) on an Evo 7

what did i do wrong?????

thanks

The first thing that you need to do is remove the restrictor orifice. With an MBC you don't want a restrictor pill.

Otherwise it sounds as though you are properly setup. Rotate the MBC's knob three turns in clockwise.

You need to increase wastegate spring pressure. If you want, I'll run you through the proceedure so that it no longer runs like butt.

Well if you are running wastegate pressure 10-11 psi sounds normal... the boostpill in the stock line and the boost solenoid was what was enabling you to run 17 psi before. You have taken all this out, so crank up the boost controller a click at a time so you are where you were before... make sure there are no boost pills in the lines!
