Is this normal?
When the car warmed up and it's quiet I can hear a minor vibrating noise at idle. The noise completely goes away when I step down on the clutch pedal, is this normal?
I suspect what your hearing is the clutch fork against the throwout bearing since when its at rest it rides against it. Its hard to tell exactly what your describing because it could also be the idler shaft spinning too. When you engage the clutch those components either stop spinning, or have force pressing against them so the noise stops.
In either case, I hear it too, and its probably normal. I hear similar sounds from my old Malibu which has a manual transmission.
Our tranny's are inherantly a bit noisy.

the noise is not a sign of a bad throwout bearing.. although it may make a noise after it goes bad, you'd have a hard time engaging and disengaging gears..
I've owned many stick cars over the years, one thing I can say for sure is that if you removed other noises that you hear masking the transmission, transmissions are noisy, they have meshing moving parts, and even at idle, in neutral it makes a bit of noise. By pushing in the clutch, you disengage the direct connection between the engine and transmission, so the noise stops. Its just moving parts making noise so I wouldn't sweat it.
There's an easy fix, turn up your radio, or get a Buschur exhaust, I don't hear half of those annoying normal noises anymore.
