Exclamation Clutch burn

So i had a rough outing with the evo last night and accidently over revved (like 7+k) on the launch and you could smell it burn instantly but the weird thing is i can still smell it today...

I drove it around today and it doesnt slip which is good news and it has full power and all that good stuff but im just wondering if its normal to smell it after 18 hours lol

Let me know guys and thanks ahead of time for the info!!

Sounds like you burned it pretty bad. Its normal to still smell it especially if you havent been driving it because the clutch dust will stick around and smell untill it disperses.

You should be all good just let the car/clutch cool off before you drive it again. The reason why youre smelling it cuz the clutch dust is still in the bellhousing.

I smoked my dsm's stock clutch at the track and it smelled for a while but went away. Get on the highway and punch it in a higher gear and see if it slips but it sounds like youll be allright.

It is very normal to smell clutch for a few days after you burn it. Dont worry about it. It should be fine. Stop launching at 7rpm btw.
