Spark plug reading..

I pulled my old spark plugs and the one from cylinder 1 (drivers side cylinder) was pretty warn away and looked a little greenish. I am/was having some knocking issues and still trying to determine if its phantom knock or real. Would these plugs cause problems?

Here are the pics from the first cylinder...they are lfr7aix plugs that i replaced with denso ikh24 plugs gapped to .022

Thanks

No dont have meth. Ive been trying to track down a knocking problem i have had for a while but I can never figure it out. I did a compression test a while back it everything looked ok. Lately the knock has gotten work..It happens at part throttle with load values of 100 and the map sensor reading about 2 to 4 psi. What else do i have to do to determine if its knocking besides the use of det cans?

Here are the other 3 plugs. For now i installed a step colder plug and it seems to have helped with the knock sensor going off. Any idea what can cause this detonation?

Cylinder 3

Cylinder 4

ive never seen green plugs like that before, do you have evoscan and logging equipt? wideband etc? if you want i can tweak your tune free for colder weather if you have all the equipt.. if not call ivey and get it retuned. your a/f will be leaner during the winter vs summer with stock ecu because the maf is stupid. (atleast it is with e85) he wont charge the full price for a touch up tune.

Thanks for your advice. The thing is when ivey tuned this i was still having the knocking problem and it wasnt going away with changes in timing and fuel. I chalked it up to be phantom knock because im getting some random rattling noises from my trans.

I have added some additives to my car previously but not in a long while. Im wondering if its just a small leak in the head gasket. I plan to do a compression and leakdown test but i have to get the equipment first. That should give me a better idea of what im looking at.

I do have evoscan and i just ordered a wide band. I would love for you to just check out my tune or my logs and see if you see anything out of the norm.

I had 2 tunes from ivey a 380hp and a 260hp tune. Today i put the 360hp tune in and the knock seems to be reduced but im still getting some weird knock values. I logged part throttle knock at 80load 3psi and 80counts of knock. That seems ridiculous...i would think if something knocked that badly i would be towing my car home...correct?

Have you always had that knock value after the kelfords?
I heard of phantom knocks caused by kelfords.

I don't have a link but a google search will pull it up

I saw that post too...but i had the issue before i had the cams installed too. I could just never track down what was causing it so i figured id get the cams installed and a tune and maybe the tune would help.... I have to check my oil but i dont even think i consume much oil or any coolant which would rule out the hg..correct?

That is very strange.

It looks to me as if you are running on the lean side as well, and you definately have a det problem.

Part throttle knock is somewhat common though, my car has done it throughout it's life time.

Are you sure no one messed with your knock sensitivity?

Also, I run kelfords with GSC springs and stock retainers. I have no out of the ordinary knock.

Well i have my wideband coming in the next few days so i should have a better idea where i stand with my afrs soon.

I know my knock sensitivity is stock because i have played around with it myself when i was trying to "tune" out the false knock but since then put it back to the factory values.

Whats the best way to approach figuring out if its a head gasket or rings or valve seals..or nothing but an over tune. Is a compression and leakdown test where to start?
