Where is Geoff? I thought he was going to give us Evo specific information . Looks like the Evo 8/9 kit will be ready the day the turbo's are going to be released with the X kit to follow.

thanks for putting this thread up, we finally got the green light to post all the details and specs for the EFRs up on our website. The efr series is without a doubt one of the most technically advanced turbos to date. Everything was started from a clean sheet and purposely engineered for maximum performance. The turbine housings released were designed to be tailored to the specific application.

That being said - Evos obviously love boost and the 1.05 a/r T4 twinscroll is the "sweet spot" for this application. The 1.05 vband housing is a direct bolt-in for Full-Race twinscroll t4 kits, and most other company's t4 twinscroll setups. IMHO the (3) hottest EFR turbos for consideration on an evo are:

EFR 76-70 (57.2mm inducer, 64 lb/min)
EFR 83-74 (62.6mm inducer, 79 lb/min)
EFR 91-80 (67.7mm inducer, 94 lb/min)

So we wont be able to run this thing internally gated with the off-the-shelf manifolds? Will it fit a custom setup if i really want the internal twinscroll? Or it doesn't clear between the head and the radiator??

the 64 lb one looks hoT!!

Seems interesting. Let's see pricing and dyno numbers. The efr 91-80 seems interesting head to head with the 6765s and fp3794rs.

If you look at the pics of the internally gated twin scroll turbine housing you can see that the geometry has led to an elongated turbine housing. My guess is you have to dump your power steering and A/C to fit that turbo in an Evo engine bay. Forward facing would be impossible too. I just can't see that turbine housing fitting in a street Evo.

you could cut that part of the exhaust housing off lol...
it wouldn't be the first time people have modified housings

the EFR turbos bolt-up to our A/C compatible twinscroll manifold with dual external wastegates, no problem there
