Boost leak test...it only takes like 30 min.
Exactly.

These 100% IME when you can actually here whistle when coming into boost it's always been a J pipe to compressor outlet or LICP to J Pipe connection.

As stated a simple boost leak test will tell you right away

hey guys we went to a new mechanic with the car and it ended up that the previous mechanic mounted the pressure plate wrong which:
(1) broke the excedy clutch
(2) the crank shaft moved so the pistons and rods blow
(3) fp red hot side wheel just bented (fold)

the car can be turn on but it doesn't go forward...but the whistleing sound was because of the turbine wheel... ...extremely bad news...have you guys heard about FP RED REPAIR????? can these turbines be repared?????

have you guys heard about issues with mounting exedy clutches???
