New exhaust soon

Hey everyone! This is going to be my first mod to the evo and the evo's first ever mod. I just want to know if anyone has any suggestions on any good exhaust out there (around $700.) What is on my list is the Apexi N1 exhaust. I had this on my 95 Eclipse GSX and loved how it sounded even though it was super loud. Was thinking about Megan but dont know how they sound. So again just want to hear from your guys opinion and if anyone else is running Apexi N1 have you yet to run into problems?

what is there to know? they are basically all the same, as long as it is full 3" at the flanges. go onto a vendors website such as maperformance and look in there. Pick and exhaust based on the way it looks. Searching "exhaust system" is pretty pointless IMO when you would be better off just looking in the show and shine section to see almost every brand available.

iv heard some **** exhaust and some good ones. There was a difference between my eclipse exhaust and my friends. Both were 3" with a 4" tip. We also had the same mods on. I am 90% set on a Apexi N1 but i wanted to see of anyone else could voice their opinion.

megan racing is what I have got it from Zeus! full TBE 3 inches all the way thru. IMO is one of the best sounding exhaust. As long as it 3 inches it doesnt matter but i guess its the sound youre after.

It's not just sound but it does play a big part. Don't want to be rolling down the street with a car that sounds like its farting.

right now im running a megan downpipe, megan resonated pipe, and perrin catback. i am about to switch to the ams downpipe, resonated pipe, and catback. exhausts are going to sound different depending on it you have stock cat, high flow cat, resonated pipe, or test pipe. youtube has many videos of different exhausts but ive never heard one online that sounded the same in person. the reason i am changing set ups is because it is being given to me as a gift, otherwise i would keep mine the exact same as it is right now.

When you install the AMS could you tell me how loud it is since it has no resonators.

i wont be putting the straight test pipe on, im going to put their resonated test pipe to keep it a little bit quieter. i will be able to give you a comparison against the perrin exhaust though
