mr oil temp reading normal?

I just bought an 06 mr. So I'm observing my gauges and the oil temp constantly reads between 55-60. I was driving mostly highway and outside temp was about 50 degrees. When I sat in a parking lot for 5 min it got up to 60. Is this an accurate reading?

Yes thats normal, mine is the same. I thought something was wrong the first week I had that car lol. It takes a while to get off full cold and doesn't get over the first 1/4 of the gauge unless your boosting on/off for a little bit or the temp outside is 70+.
