That car is so nasty in that vid. Yea i couldnt imagine going from 350whp to 800-900 whp and havent drove the car in a long time. Im really anxious to see how i react to it. But honestly, i believe its like riding a bike, once you drive it down the street for a few minutes it comes back to you. Since ill be on the same type of clutch as last year, but just new of course, it wouldnt be hard to get used to or anything. I cant wait man, next week cant come soon enough haha

 

UPDATE!!

Hey Everyone!

Well I have a quick update on the car. The Head is done, picking it up today or monday. Thats all taken care of. The block will be finished monday or tuesday, wednesday at the latest and the plan it to get the car running by Friday the 13th (lol wow) Since all the fabricating is done on the car its basically putting it back together which shouldnt take to long. Our goal is by friday and it is looking very good Im going to break it in that weekend and that following week hop on the dyno to get tuned I cant wait!!

In the meantime, today in the illinois area is perfect outside. The weather is going to be 67 and sunny! Me and a few buddies from SM are going up to GLD dragaway. My buddy Jason, Evom member ANGRYEVO8 (Mrboost) is bringing his Blue Evo 8 up there in hopes to run a 10 second pass on the Fp Red in his full weight Evo It going to be a fun night and hope to see his Evo get into the 10s!! I wish I could but my wife would kill me if I ditched her tonight. . Engine is at machine shop. I got a great deal on a new exedy hd clutch yesterday so now that problem is out of the way.

Come on man, I need some better updates that this. For example. The car made 850 hp today guys. Something exciting like that lol. I looks through here everyday.

 

Lol I know man sorry, these updates arent the best but its the best i can do without ditching my thread untill the car makes the numbers. I am picking up my car at the end of the week and will be breaking it in next weekend. Dyno numbers will come the following weekend This week I will have pics and videos of first start up and what not. Stay tuned!!

Just seeing this now Joey thanks for the support! We dident get the pass we wanted but it was sure close. Next time out with a working rear end should do the trick! Can't wait to see the Junkbox rollin around the streets of Chicago!

 

Car is coming back together this week from the slight delays we had. Im sorry for ignoring the thread with no good updates but i was going to wait a few more days to when the car is finished. I am picking up the car friday afternoon/evening. I am going to break it in this weekend and next weekend will get tuned I will have pics and vids up of the Junkbox asap!!

No prob dude! You were so close last friday, and that was on street tires Once u get the rear end in fresh and my car is tuned, our next track day will go together and run our cars! Im excited man, plan is to pick up the car this friday! I cant wait.

Hey Everyone,

I know I stepped away from this thread for a few days, maybe a week but i finally have some good news. First start up will come in the middle part of today. We got the head back on monday afternoon and SM and the guys are busting A** to get this done Thanks guys! Friday i am picking up the car with the trailer and bringing her home for break in. The weather looks pretty good this weekend, especially Friday, 75 and sunny so it looks like i will be cruising the car Friday night haha

The only bad news is i dont have any pics because i havent been to the shop. I am going to try to get some uploaded later with more pics of it being completed. Friday will come clean pics of the car and start up and idling videos of the car. I am sorry for this dragging on and ignoring the thread a little bit but all race cars have some problems and im glad it all worked out and the "junkbox" will be on the road again!! Break in, tune, then track here we come! Stay tuned for pics and videos later!! Thanks!

Yea this is true def played golf a lot the last couple weeks. The weather has been terrible around here so the Vette sat in the garage hahaha. Yea im stoked man, cant wait to pick her up. Videos and pics to come shortly Im planning for the first track day in a couple weeks!
