My car needs a Diet

Just need some recommendations on what i can "strip" out of my car to loose some weight. On the same token I don't want my car to have that gutted look (IE: no door panels, not rear seat...etc).

I was thinking of taking out the sound deadening (already have the spare out)…but what else can I do??

a lot of threads about this topic. rotating mass is a plus.
wheels, brakes, drive shaft.
mounts( front cross member, mustache bar)
suspension
body parts
All depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to take it.
free mods, PS, AC, etc

I'd suggest losing rotational mass first - tires/wheels/rotors in that order - then the seats. Good luck.

Spot on. If your going to spend money spend it on rotational mass parts first. At the same time do your free weight reduction mods. Then if you feel you want more that's when you start to buy light weight replacement parts

Also, consider the weight difference between the Rs/GSR MR etc. That shouldnt be too hard to acheive. Its noted as 80 lbs in some places and closer to 150 in other sources. Either way, let us know how you do! Im'a check out those links now..
