Question Please help with driveability

I have a 2005 GSR SSL. AEM Cold air, Greddy Type RS plumbed back into intake, boost gauge, manual boost controller, 280 cams, megan header, turbo back exhaust with test pipe and HKS muffler and Walbro 255. Recently Tuned for 22-23psi.

Questions are, car keeps stalling at idle ill be driving along and come to a stop in neutral and car will idle down and want to die. Vaccum is low as well idles at 5-8 in. when it idles ok, it will have about 10 in. After tune when i go full throttle car smells.

Codes keep setting are P0300, P0171 and as of yesterday P0106.

Bought new spark plugs and new Walbro. Will install when they come in. Also got a Greddy Elec. Boost controller, tuner suggested because didnt like manual controller.

Walbro makes noise alot, and whines with idle. like the noise it makes goes along with the chugging. Also heard people saying theirs isnt noisey at idle, this thing makes alot of noise at idle.

Found crankcase hose off of AEm cold air intake, put back on no better. cleaned maf with maf cleaner and didnt help. checked gap in plugs in it about .26 ish. When cleaning maf noticed the boost vsv under the air filter is still plugged in electronically, and both of the nipples on it are not capped off. Should they be?

Car holds boost very well until upper rpms. I watched a video of a evo same mods as me making 350ish. Im making 300/300. Mustang dyno. I noticed when he rev'd up, his bov would release and make a noise. no matter how many rpms i rev up to my bov never makes any noise. But when i am driving and i go into boost it does.

Any help would be great.

If you haven't mess with the adj on the TB, it may be that there is a loose hose somewhere causing the leak.

thats was tipical on 03-05 evos. Speed density will eliminate it. Stock bov helps a little, also raising idle rpm will help a little.

It's normal for a Walbro 255 to emit a whine even at idle. There isn't anything wrong with a manual boost controller as long as it's from a known manufacturer (Hallman). Your BOV is recirculated so which isn't the culprit necessarily. I would possibly question the tune.

What turbo are you running currently?

Thanks ill check. Synaptic3 tuned it. I'm going to check some more stuff and maybe someone will know. When I did a search someone else has the exact problems and hasn't figured it out and its been about a year. :/

Have you done a test to check for vacuum or boost leaks? Is the recirculation hose pinched or obstructed in anyway? If you need a retune it may be a great time to consider switching to speed density. I just got switched over 2 weeks ago and it's been amazing
