looking forward to it! btw, nice job on the water pump. my obsessive compulsive self took it to a sheet of 600 grit on the granite table at work and it was damn flat as is.

Stock muffler with boost-activated cutout here. Not sure what you think is impractical about tjis option?

I went from a Invidia N1 to a Tanabe Medallion Touring. It was a huge difference! I don't feel like such an ******* when cruising around town now.

i would need a muffler after the cutout and my stock exhaust is pretty rusty and ugly. not sure why, the car is from texas and mint everywhere else.

The best thing about it is that there was no "drone" on the highway.
I can attest to this. I've heard the car on numerous occasions and it is by far quiet....like my Corolla.

I'm seriously considering going this route next year.

another thing is some of you are on stock frame turbos, small cams and cats. throw a big turbo, cams and remove the cat and a quiet exhaust gets loud.

RRE stealth exhaust is probably the best solution bc there is no loss in performance.
I would still do the DP cut out along w/ a high flow cat.

i have the infamous double-magnaflow setup (5inch magnaflow@test pipe) and its not nearly as quiet as i want it to be. maybe its the hks 272's but it still rumbles and sets off car alarms. maybe the main magnaflow inside is all burnt out? i dont know

I guess everybody's definition of quiet is different but that RRE pictured is the quietest exhaust I have ever heard next to the cobb and garage hrs.

If your not that worried about it then who cares what exhaust you have? Go drive your "700" hp car
