Just fitted an evo9rs turbo to my JDM 8. I have all the related mods aswell as giving the turbo a light port and polish. I had the car tuned last week and i'm a bit disappointed with the result. Considering i'm running stock cams i wasn't expecting a big result but somewhere around 215kw would have been nice(i'm in AUS). My tuner tells me the problem is my eboost2 boost controller not holding the boost, he tells me i need to go hks evc 6. I agree there is alot of boost taper, it was set for 22psi and on the low setting of 19psi makes almost the same power because of the boost taper on 22. Previously i had a profec B and it had almost identical taper off.
looking at the taper would the rpm boost control settings in the eboost 2 correct this? or is it possible i have a boost leak?

not sure what to tell you, ive been running the eboost for about a year now and i love it. Sure its the problem with that system? it could be maybe your wastegate or a leak or something small like that. Also you can run quite a bit more boost than that. i have stock internals but with a bigger fuel pump and have been boosting 30 psi safely for the last 3 years. Even on stock you can run up to 25ish
thanks. I don't want to run anymore than 22psi on the 9rs turbo, they are renowned for the magnesium compressor wheel failing on much more than that. Ive seen a few people in Aus with 200-235kw using this turbo running 20-22psi.
