Built trannys

Alright so i've been reading a lot of recent complaints about the Sheptranny's. A lot of people have been saying that they start grinding gears after not even 4000 miles. Whats up with that? I've tried searching but there isn't much else. Im not trying to put down Shep, because they've been praised so highly here, i would just like to know whats going on, maybe they had a bad batch?

What about the TRE and Buschur trannies? How are they holding up? Anyone got a built tranny that would like to say how long they've had it and how its doing? Driving style, daily driver, etc?

Thanks!
