What kind of turbo setups is everyone runnin with the 2.2stroker? What kind of powerband is your setup doing?

Haven't seen many 2.2 combos and would like to get some info going. hope to see some results

A mate of mine is using a HTA3582R twin scroll kit. Makes awesome power! 500hp on 28psi (e85). Ballistic to drive!

just all depends on what your looking for. wana autoX? toss a hta green or red. just street like me, toss a 35 or 37 with .62 a/r.

id say go all out with the 3794 or even one of the new borg warners on it.

its been a toss up for me between the 2.2 and 2.3. i'v read a lot on both. the 2.2 seems to be a really good all around setup with the right turbo. i'm not planning on racing my car so i'm not looking for high hp #'s. just looking for around 550hp with good mid range power because i love shooting out of a corner sideways.

nice you have the ability to do that kind of stuff lol. I was there when joquin(JMS Racing Head tech) took my 2.4 apart to check it out lol i saw it go down and off to machine shop for cleaning was cool learning experience for me. have you thought about 2.4 as well. but im just surprised you just dont go 2.3 and be done with it.

i wanted to do the 2.4 but i want to keep the original engine with the car. may sound wierd but i'm picky about little things. i rebuild a lot of chrysler and dodge motors so i'm not to concerned about building mine. it is really cool tearing the motors down and making them all new and pretty again. its not as extreme as everyone thinks, but at the same time requires a lot of attention and detail

yes it was simple when i saw him do it but still knowledge in that field helps and right tools of course LOL. I would not want to build my first engine solo for sure. LOL but sounds like you have experience so it will be good in your case and another area to save money. I understand wanting to keep the original engine for sure. My car started running crazy vibrating while cruising in 5th gear and i got tired of dealing with all the small issues as well. Dont have any evo shops around me to bring it to so i wanted it all to be pulled out and start fresh. so i pulled it all put all new stuff in lol. new intake t/b head block etc nothing original except wiring harness LOL.

If you do 2.2l I'd suggest doing the 4G64 with custom crank. Best possible rod ratio/displacement you can do, really.

If you want to keep the OE block, 2.3 is probably your cheapest option.
