Most boost in a OG FP green

Older fp green, says its a 9.80 I belive on the housing. Couldn't find any specs on how far I can push this turbo before im asking for a rebuild. I've been searching like crazy but most threads are for sale or new 10.5 fp greens. Thanks.

I'd let the tuner figure this out if you're asking this. If the car's responding, then ask for a more aggressive tune if possible.

I used to run 34psi on my evo3 16g, which is smaller then the old fp green. managed to get 41lb/min from it.

I'm just trying to see what kind of abuse it can handle for my setup. Ive seen many ppl make over 400 on a 10.5 hot side on a newer fp green on pump. Id rather sell it rather than blow it up if it cant handle 27-30psi is where im getting at.

I've been running 29 / 30psi peak on my 1st generation green for a good 2 years and 10k+ miles. i know of some running 33 / 35psi peak but i feel that is pushing it. I always thought it was a 10.5t housing though

pretty low numbers considering if you have cams and assuming supporting mods with that 2.2l

I'll be happy with the setup if the turbo makes 400whp

In the UK we seem to calculate hp differently to the US. something i'll never usderstand fully. However the turbo is near to maxed out on our fuel.

On that dyno standard turbos max out at 320whp. If you can get much more than +40whp over a standard IX turbo with a 1st gen FP Green then your using magic dust. They flow max 47lb/min so 470 crank hp is all your going to see on 93.

The only viable way i see to compare UK to US seems to be VDR which on my car comes out like this. (perhaps nearer what you were expecting ?)

2005 gsr 8 stock block w cams ,ems and supporting mods with og green which i also thought/think was a 10.5 hotside to. i made 365whp/333trq at 23psi peak on 91oct and 415whp/393 trq at 28psi 100oct.ran my green for about a yr and half, sold which i regret......loved the response and mid power 100oct woke it up for sure, e85 wasnt being used to my knowledge around 2006 2007 .so imagine i couldve ran atleast 30-32psi peak 35 psi is pushin it i think ..but im a conservative tune kinda guy...

I think that 9sec9 used to run over 36 PSI through their OG Green if I am not mistaken and it held together.
