Help! "binding" noise

I know I know this is kinda a wild goose chase to diagnose with out being able to physically see the car('03 gsr), but if you have any suggestions/ ideas please share. Within the last week I have noticed a binding noise coming from the front of the car when traveling at a constant speed hitting bumps in the road, and when down shifting from speed. The noise is not a hum or a grind, but more of a binding feeling that is on/ off. What are some first things to check? Any diagnosis tips?

Thanks EvoM

Lubricant levels in engine, transmission and transfer case. Also, the power steering fluid and coolant.

After having the noise for a couple of days I went ahead and changed all fluids in the driveline, and I've still got the noise...

I have herd there is a link in the cv joint not associated with steering, but with suspention travel. Could this inner cv joint be the culprit?
