Just installed catch can. Lots of oil!!!

Took off MAS pipe to put the buschur one on and the pipe had a LOT of oil on it and had some right by the turbo. Bought a greddy catch can. Install was simple. heres the pic.

Also I changed the tranny, transfer, diff with redline. Feels great. Drain plug had a lot of metal

Lots of metal. This is the plug from the transmission. Transfer case didnt have much on it. Very surprised to see all that metal just clumped up like that. Anybody that wants to change fluids. It is very easy. Took about 30 mins. with a pump

Use redline 75-w90 Tranny fluid. Works very good.

Drove hard today and noticed that the clear tube had some oil in. This thing does serve a purpose after all. Everybody who says we dont need one. Read my last sentance and tell me again why we dont need it?

I have a catch can on mine and I also integrated the PCV system to pull a vacuum on the can off boost and use the inlet hose to evacuate the can on boost. So far it is working well for me.
I don't know if you saw my old post with the diagram or not.
Point to all this is, with this setup I can half fill the can with simple condensation in about 2000 miles. I don't get too much oil in that time but the water kind of dilutes the oil so it's harder to tell.
I have no doubt about the value of a catch can and think it is highly recommended.

Oh, is that a Buschur I/C pipe in your pic? I am looking at that in the future and that shows me that the current setup I have below will give me the necessary clearance for that pipe.

Yes that is the buschur upper IC pipe. I see you took your batt tray off. I kept mine there cuz I put all my tools on it when working. LOL. Where is your + batt connection going into the engine? Can you post sum pics here or e-mail them to me

I just have a wire going to the stock area as you can see in the pic, but I am not too happy about where it is.

That's actually not too much metal. Those are simple metal dust particles from the gears breaking in. It is rather normal to see that on a magnetic plug. If you actually had pieces of hard steel then you should worry.

Here is my thread about the battery relo.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ery+Relocation

All my parts and stuff are listed in that thread.
I cut the tray down to eliminate the wasted space. I was going to fab something but the way the mounting holes are angles from the stock tray it would have been more trouble then it's worth.

Any more shots of the connections in the front. Not sure how you got those wires all the over there. Did you have to extend them??

No more shots right now. The positive cables are the same as stock. I used the power post that you see bolted to the tray to mount them all. (unbolted them all from the stock positive lead clamp) and just added the pos. cable from the battery coming up from the rear.
Ground I shortened at the clamp that goes to the body. I just reterminated the end and grouped it with the grounding kit on the battery tray bolt at the tranny mount.

I can take more when I get a chance. Unfortunately, snow was not in my favor and right now I am waiting for a new RH lower control arms to get the car back together. I'll have to take some shots of that cause it bent the **** out of it. (curb).

West Marine http://www.westmarine.com
but just about any boat supply place.
If you aren't running a fuse of some sort, I would suggest it.
