I was thinking of buying the HKS HI Power exhaust but its a 2.9 catback. I was was wondering if i can buy a BR or rmr 3in downpipe and a 3in off roadpipe and install it with the HKS HI power exahust.

Its 2.9inches not 2.5 If it was I would throw mine away. The downpipe is about 2.6 I believe.

If you want power go with Buschur or Ultimate racing exhausts
If you want looks and some performance go with Hks
Buschur and Ultimate racing Exhaust are really ugly but you will get more power out of them.

Buschur's exhaust system is the highest flowing, lightest exhaust system out for the Evo's. An exhaust is the exhaust, I highly doubt that many people are concerned over the looks of the muffler or even the tip. But with that in disregard, the Buschur system with the Magnaflow muffler makes it "look" better I suppose , it also quiets it down a bit.

I personally chose the B&B system as it's performance and sound quickly grasped my attention.

Smartguy, it IS 2.9 inches but BEVO is saying that the flange where it connects to the cat TAPERS down to 2.6, so you might as well me running a smaller exhaust since it bottlenecks there.

Im having a custom 3" flange put on mine so it wont bottleneck.

If you're set on HKS for your exhaust, get the 30th ann.

It's STAINLESS Steel.

Great post! This thread is from 2003 if you didn't notice.

Also you said you don't even own an Evo in another thread, so why are you bumping a really old thread?
