Turbo Blown?

Damn it seems like I cant catch a break this year its been nothing but problems. Here is the only issue im facing now. The turbo is leaking oil but it seems like its leaking right from the seals and out of the middle where the hotside connects. Im pretty sure its coming from the seals too because I get a tremendous amount of white smoke from the exhaust when I boost and Im pretty sure my head gasket is still fine.

Does it sound like the turbo seals to you guys as well? Would it be cheaper to send in my turbo to fix the seals or just buy a new one? Also can I drive the car with a busted turbo as long as I stay out of boost til I can get some more funds for a new turbo?

please send in your old school green and get either new HTA green or fp red. cheaper to just get it fixed for the minor issue but if doing that might as well upgrade your turbo

Its only four days into 2011, must be having some crazy stuff happening.

Turbos dont have seals, but there are some things that can wear down and cause oil to leak out. If thats the situation with your stock turbo, I would definitely send it out for a rebuild. An upgrade at the same time would not be a bad idea, it wouldnt be much more money.

I actually thought my green was nice lol but yea I dont think i'd mind finally moving up to a red I just dont think funds are in my favor right now. Im thinking if its considerably cheaper to just rebuild the turbo Ill do that for now and then send it in again for an upgrade. I guess I just got to see which is more cost efficient.

But let me ask again? Is it ok to drive with a blown turbo for a while?
