could i get some diagnosis help. (VIDEO)

well i just finished swapping out my old hks cams to some gsc s2's and my engine is now making a strange noise.

i think i have seen other threads with something similar but i cant seem to find them. if anyone knows which threads im talking about please let me know.

i made sure all the rockers were on right, lubed up new cams before they went in, torqued everything to spec. also made sure everything went back on the same way it came off. any ideas? the sound comes and goes at random times. sometimes lasting 1-2 seconds, other times lasting 5-10 seconds or even longer.

i might have to pull the valve cover off tomorrow to inspect everything again but in the mean time, if yall have any ideas, let me know.
oh and i have fresh springs/retainers that i installed 2 weeks ago

heres the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZQ-BIUEQXE

*EDIT*

took the valve cover off. lifters are fine. but i did notice something weird that i have no clue about.

on the first intake valve on cylinder 1, there is a spring that is not set where it should be.its just resting on top of everything around the valve and moves around. looking at all the other valves, the spring is set around something that is on the valve, looks like a seal or something.
ill also add that i bled the 2 lifters again on the intake valves on cylinder 1 and the sound is more constant now. a little quieter but its still there and more constant
heres a pic.

i can't comment on the noise as my sound card seems to have died, but...

did you drive the car after installing the valve springs, or did the car just sit for the two weeks?

if you ran the car, then the lifters refilled with oil & needed to be drained when you installed the cams

Sounds external, loose bracket or something.

yeah it will go away for a little bit. but then come back for a few seconds. did you watch the video? does that sound like a lifter to you?

but i have been told lifter noise doesn't come and go. it should be pretty constant if it was a lifter

If it was a lifter it would be a steady tick tick tick at idle not like the tickety clack tick tick clackety tick in the video.

yeah thats what i figured too but i cant find anything loose that would rattle. and weird thing is it only does it once warmed up.

im about to pull the valve cover off so i can get a better look behind the engine around the intake manifold area since thats where the sound is coming from.also to inspect the rockers. if i cant find anything i think im just gonna go through the whole process of bleeding the lifters. uuuhgghh such a pain

well just spent 2 hours taking everything off and re bleeding the lifters but the noise is still there

its coming from the middle of the valve cover towards the back.
any one got any ideas?

i checked everything and made sure nothing was loose. it has to be something small and stupid i am over looking but its pissing me off haha.

i guess ill go over everything again tomorrow in daylight and maybe bring a friend as a second pair of eyes/ears.

in the mean time...any ideas you have, throw them at me

Check your sparktech COP.

You might notice arching marks at the ends. check the tops of the spark plugs for arching. That's what it sounds like to me.

Lifters would be constant.
