I would still use the 4 pumo on the IX. That water pump bracket for the alternator is simply not needed. Just cut that leg off the bracket. This is whats done with early cars using evo IX heads and mivec. far more important to have a non spaced reliable water pump on any car.

That spacer soesn't look flat, hence for the grinding. The rtv is just plain a bad idea...

Its flat, I think it was sucking it into the pump.

Jerry, I'll grab another Evo4 pump and try again. Maybe we had a misboxed one, I tried it after Marco told me and it didnt work.

"Hey Mike,

I have been running the MAP spacer with a brand new OEM pump/gaskets/hondabond coating for the last 4,000 miles with NO issues. Dry as a bone. I am a stickler about leaks and drips, hence the reason for the OEM gaskets and honda bond coating.

1300A069 is the part number I have gotten before which crosses the Outlander in the US and definitely does not work. I am wondering if there is another option possibly for the 4 or THERE WAS another option. I can tell you for a fact the A069 doesnt work, I sitll have that pump on my desk.
