Swap bullet muffler for s.d jdm rear muffler???

Trying to decide if I should swap out my bullet muffler for the new jdm rear muffler..I put a s.d resonator in the test pipe area to cut the rasp in the exhaust .I'm getting sick of the bullet in the back..I looked on buschurs site and he now offers a s.d rear section for the jdm rear..My question is how much louder will it be when compared to the bullet??I don;t want the rasp back but if it's louder on wot it fine...

It will prob just be louder..I'm ordering a the sd and bullet muffler combo with the bullet in the testpipe since I have the jdm bumper. My car is just crazy insanely loud with a turboxs catback with the inside of the muffler gone lol..

Dude....this has been on my to do list for so long. Every time I see someone on here who runs the the buschur sd pieces, I pester them for sound clips but no one has come thru. All I can offer is a couple threads where people who have it are discussing the sound comparisons between sd and regular buschur exhausts. Some nice pics too...I love the look of the muffler-less rear and I'm 100% switching to it...I'll do before and after exhaust sound clips, but it wont be for few months prob. here u go...

DB said when he put the SD muffler on it made it less raspy compared to his other straight pipe setup...I plan on swapping from a bullet muffler to an SD to drop a little weight and have more room under the bumper when I get a JDM rear on the car.

When I had the test pipe and the bullet alone it was louder but I like that the only thing I hated was the raspy sound at 3,500 when the turbo would spool..I put the s.d muffler in the middle and the rasp faded away completely..Now I think that the bullet looks doofy when having the jdm rear and want a cleaners look but don"t want the rasp back..I'm thinking maybe to paint the muffler black??

The only bad thing about having this exhaust is the slip fits you have to make sure that there super tight if not the pipe will push out..I noticed today my car had some fumes and looked at my muffler and was sticking out a bit further then usual. I looked under neath and the muffler got pushed off the piping a bit..Just every 6 months you should check to see if there snug.

Yea I've had problems with the slip fittings too...I sometimes have small leaks around the clamps. I asked David about it one time and he said they have the same issues at the shop and as long as they are just small leaks and downstream of the dp and testpipe, there is no power loss.

From what I've gathered, the SD mid-muffler quiets down the exhaust audible to the driver and passengers. As far as overall sound...outside the car...you are going from just one muffler in the rear and regular piping everywhere else to a mid-muffler and a resonated pipe in the rear. So will the exhaust with a muffler and resonator be quieter/less raspy? Or does the fact that the only muffler is way upstream mean that the end sound will be more raspy compared to having a muffler in the rear section? Who knows....we're all just guessing here. We need some definitive data dammit

Yeah I am not a fan of slip fit clamps...I had slip fits on my BR exhaust when I got it and decided to have regular 2 bolt flanges put in...

Up date painted the muffler flat black and left the tip polished and looks so much better.A must if you have a bullet and a jdm bumper to hide the soda can look.I was thinking what to do either swap a different mufflers but then again

I might sell the whole exhaust this weekend have two people willing to buy it from me.

What do you guys think of the hks carbon ti or apex n1 canister.??Maybe swap the muffler out for it since I have the pipping..I never heard on with a big turbo setup according to my friend he says it sounds amazing.
