Unhappy (Video) Backfire type nose (Pop Pop Pop) At WOT

so this has recently started happening to my car. at WOT at higher RPM my car starts to jerk and makes consecutive backfire type noise and lags a lot as it builds up boost.

It sounds like bah bah bah bah/ pop pop pop pop real quick

So far i have tried

resetting the ECU
checked MAF sensor connection

and it hasnt solved the problem
could it be the spark plug ? I have NGK BPR8ES spark plugs installed
Im also running E85 with a build Buschur motor on stock 9 turbo
Nothing on the car was changed before this started happening.

I would replace the plus and go from there. Especially with you having an evo 8 versus 9 the plugs should cost very little to replace.

It sounds like it's a misfire at high RPM under boost. My car had similar problems and I replaced the plugs, EVO 9 (IKH24) and the misfire went away. Now I have to replace them about every 6 months because the misfire will return after a while.

+1 the plugs probably need to be changed anyway. Start with them.

99% sure its your plugs,if you havent retuned for pump and are still running the e85 tune its running rich and probably fouled them out.Mine did the same thing when i was tuning SD.I have some at my store right if you need them.

New plugs of your choice but I would stick with the ngk mentioned above with a .22 gap.

ok, just a shot...my car was doing the same thing at WOT, I checked plugs, etc...connections, etc...well d@mn I just saw a hose dangling from my F1 intake. WTF! Couldnt see it from the top and apparently just came all the way down to were I finally saw it from the bottom of the car! So I had a 1/4" air leak!!!!! Maybe your bov is leaking at WOT or maybe there is a hole in a silicone hose, or an air leak from a tube connection. Something else to check

Judging by the pictures you have of this car it seems pretty messed up, I think you should have someone who knows what they are doing look at it.
