That's looks so freaking cool, and I bet it sounds just a cool as it looks. Btw, since you're running both BOV as VTA, do you encountered the imfamous stalling issue?

Please advise

I am sure that I would be stalling if I had the stock ECU with a MAF sensor.
But I am installing the AEM tomorrow All standalones work with MAP sensors, and they do not require for the BOVs to be vented to the intake.

How much do you plan on boosting ?
also on what octane do you plan to run with no problems ?
I will be happy with 800whp
The turbo will make more tough.
Pump gas will be 20 psi, race gas ( C16) will be 28 and 38 psi settings.
The last two settings will be done ONLY after the engine is built.

I got tired of waiting on the Evo8 boards. They both a excellent, we just finished another 4G63 with the Autronic and their ign box.
The Autronic has a better( i think) autotuning table, but I will be manually tuning either way:-)

The engine will hold until January, I am sure. I will keep it rich and on the safe tuning side

2nd week of January the engine is coming out for a FULL build

The funny thing about this...
It's the best PR move they could have made...
Naysayer's and fanatics will all be tuned in when this beast is running...

OMG! Are the MAP sensors from the earlier Evos or is that a custom job? I got the HKS BOV and would definitely get some of those sensors to get rid of the stalling on my car....

Please keep us posted!

The map sensors are from a Buick Grand national normally, and require a stand alone engine management system to run.

To convert your system to a speed density with a MAP sesnor ( MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure), you have to either go with a fulls standalone engine management, or with a HKS VPC. I really doubt that HKS VPC is avail fo rteh Evo8 in the US, and the price on the VPC is around $1000.

Your better choice, especially if you are building the car, is to go with a standalone engine management. In that case, you just take out your stock ECU, and put in a different ECU ( standalone) that YOU can control with laptop. All SA ECUs work with MAP sensors, and they provide teh ultimate in tuning ability. They are way better than any S-AFC, e-manage, Xede, Dynoflash, etc.
Look into AEM, Autronic, and Power FC. All these are plug and play, with no to minimal (5 wires) wiring required.
Whne you have on eof these, you will set you redline, your fuel, timing, NOS control, traction control, starting, etc with a laptop. All of them come with base maps for a stock or lightly upgraded car.

I would look into the AEM or the Autronic.

I knew I am forgetting something

The V Pro does not come with software, you cannot tune it yourself.

So the PnP standalones are

- AEM
- Autronic
- HKs V Pro

Non PnP
- Motec M800 ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)
