Ahhh Haven't seen the nifty Fcon navigator which allows you to make tuning changes without a laptop right from the drivers seat. Works with the F con V Pro, F con S and the New F con SZ

Your better choice, especially if you are building the car, is to go with a standalone engine management. In that case, you just take out your stock ECU, and put in a different ECU ( standalone) that YOU can control with laptop. All SA ECUs work with MAP sensors, and they provide teh ultimate in tuning ability. They are way better than any S-AFC, e-manage, Xede, Dynoflash, etc.

Ouch... too bad it's a bit too late since I already got S-AFC installed. Should have wait longer 'til all these goodies come out...

Thanks anyway for the info

Take it from someone who has used both standalones and piggy backs on a 400+ whp 4G63.

Nothing wrong with an safc for the typical tuner. Easy to use, effective, cheap. I like them alot, they get the job done nicely. Standlones are awesome, versatile and powerful....but they are also a much larger investment of your time to tune and use. You will be tuing the SAFC on your way to work for fun within a week.

That's true, except that SAFC cannot address the BOV's stalling issue. Otherwise I'm totally with you, especially the flexibility

By the way, I'm going to take the car for dyno-tune next week, any idea what I need to aware of during the tuning?

Thanks!
