I just simply don't get this... if you are going to be pulling the guts out and swapping the slugs then why stick with the stock turbo??

Because it's his car and his money? He threw a rod out of the stock block so he needs to buy a completely new engine anyway, might as well build it exactly how he wants it for any future plans.

This thread will not turn into a debate of whether or not you agree with his plans. If you have nothing constructive to add, then please keep it to yourself.

I didnt say I dont agree with his plans, I was asking why he is sticking with the stock turbo if the internals are going to be built.

I don't have the funds right now anyway. Personally I feel that will enjoy each step along the way as power increases and later when I can I'll upgrade the turbo and be at 500whp without all the lag of most builds at that level.

The stock turbo is a fun thing on a built motor 2.0 10.1:1 it dies up top but the powers always there.
