Buschur UICP installed
If I wanted to use the BOV thats on my Cusco induction arm how would I do that using the Upper I/C pipe kit? Would I have to plug the hole in the pipe or somehow get a T-shaped attachment to make them work together or can I just order the pipe without the bung? Please help guys, thanks.
Thanks alot for posting the pictures, they look great.
I would like to point out a couple of things, if you don't mind.
Our upper i/c pipe as pictured in polished stainless steel is $330, this includes the 1g BOV and flange. In gloss black powder coating is only $300.
The battery you used looks nice and I can't believe how cheap it was. We have $169 in our battery and I have to get 15 at a time. I hope the cold cranking on it keeps you going through the winter. Also, if you go to the drag strip or a road race/autocross course they won't pass you through tech with the zip ties. I am not being negative, just want you to be prepared. Hell I have zip tied darn near complete cars together! haha The battery you have might be able to use the same upper and lower mounts we have with our kit, I don't know how tall or wide it is. We have an aluminum undertray for the battery and stainless steel top strap.
Our i/c pipe kit because we made it so short and direct does require the smaller battery. Putting the battery in the trunk is an option. You will need to buy a good enclosed box, cable and come up with a good connector under the hood to tie it together. By the time it is over you are going to add weight to the car and you cannot use a small battery that far from the engine, it won't start well. We left the battery under the hood for this reason. Just like the pictures you see here, it makes for a very clean install and about 20 pounds off the front of the car.
Last, adjusting the sequential valve is done through the bolt located on it, loosening the bolt should cause you fluttering to go away.

Dave PLEASE answer my question. Can I still use the BOV thats on my induction arm with your upper I/C pipe kit? If so what is needed and if not do I need another induction arm without the BOV hole?
I am assuming that an "induction arm" is the MAS pipe. If so yes, we could put a bung on the pipe to accept the stock BOV. I would really suggest getting rid of it though.

stvbreal - the battery you got, how many cold cranking amps is it?
Does anyone know what is the cold cranking amps for the stock battery? Also stvbreal, I myself have and HKS SSQ valve, did you weld the HKS flange on to a 1G BOV flange? If so did buschur weld it for you? Thanks in advance. Looks great by the way, can't wait to get my whole kit!

Not sure of the cold cranking amps. It was 24 degress the other morning and it started up without a hitch.
Very quickly and smoothly. Here's some info if it helps:
'The 5 second cranking power of ODYSSEY® batteries is double to triple that of equally sized conventional batteries, even when the temperature is as low as - 40°C. Also, with simple constant voltage charging (alternator or independent charger), there is no limitation on the inrush current, so the user is assured of a fast charge.'
I ordered the flange kit for the HKS BOV. It's identical to the 1G flange. It secured the BOV witha c-clip.
Tough as hell to get in but once it's in it aint going anywhere nore will it leak.

Thanks for the great info, I hope you don't mind if I do the same and ride of ya
Also just a few more questions what is the code number for the battery you ordered? I was looking to get either one of the following:
battery code # ODY-PC545MJ $95
battery code # ODY-PC680MJ $95
Also as far as the flange goes, is that the kit for the 1G cars? If so where can I pick one of those up? Thanks again for all the help.

I got the battery from Sun Battery and the terminals from Battery Mart. I put the wron link in the ohter repsonse, sorry.
Here is the link for the battery.

I chose to buy the battery from Sun because it was 10 bucks cheaper, and came with the cover.
Here is a link to the terminals.

I chose to buy from Battery Mart simply because I couldn't find them on Suns site.
Hope this helps, and by all means you can copy anything you want from my cars etup.
Also, I bought the flange off Ebay. Original HKS JDM part. Look around there may be another on there now.
