Really? I'm no lube engineer but I've always heard the larger the difference between the cold and hot weight, the harder it is on the engine in the long run.

This stuff is top notch. I have used RS for over 6 years in diffrent BMWs. I have never heard that. Not to say it's not true but just that I never heard that.

Hmmm. Maybe someone more informed will chip in. I use synth straight weight 40 or 50 in my Talon race engine and synth 10-30 in the Evo.

There is a problem with dino oils with a wide spread, especially with infrequent change intervals in that they produce coking and deposits that result in damage to the engine in the long run. This is due to the additives necessary to have a wide spread in dino oils that break down during extended service. To my knowledge this is a non-issue with synthetics.

It is also called TSW. It is the only oil that can be used in the new M3's. Join the BMW Club and get a discount.
