Is the HKS T51 SPL compressor housing the same as the GT40 compressor housing

HKS say their signature turbo's are based on a Garret turbo. Can anyone confirm if the compressor housing on the T51 SPL is based on the GT40 compressor housing?

A little background. I am looking to see if I can replace my GT4094R with a T51 SPL after modifying the T4 flange on the exhaust manifold to a V band flange.

The t51SPL is based on a 4202 and the Kai is based on a 4294. The HKS turbos use custom compressor and turbine housings. HKS was offering v-band housings way before it was fashionable.
